What it is

MarketSimulator is a forthcoming single-player financial strategy sandbox for PC. You read a synthetic economy, trade linked markets, acquire stakes, and can operate companies once your position gives you control.

There is no fixed role or authored victory condition. In one run, you might trade a short-lived dislocation, hedge a long exposure, acquire control of a company, or spend far too much on a vanity project.

Why a sandbox

The sandbox comes first because the interesting part is not following a job title. Wealth is useful feedback, not the job description. The point is to form a thesis, take the exposure, and deal with what happens next.

How the world works

Macro publications, commodity moves, credit conditions, company results, and corporate actions move on simulated time. Price is an outcome: the market reacts to evidence, gets some things wrong, and leaves you a trail to review later.

The simulation is deterministic. The same state and the same decisions produce the same result. That means wins, losses, and strange outcomes can be reproduced and investigated instead of dismissed as noise.

Development

MarketSimulator is solo-developed in small, tested slices. Development Notes show current screenshots and systems still being worked on, starting with the macroeconomy.
